About Seasons Grief & Loss Center
Seasons is New Orleans' first and only non-profit grief center, offering specialized bereavement counseling and psychotherapy to children and coping with the loss of a significant loved one.
Our History
Our Beginnings
We rented a small house in 1998 and began providing children and adults a variety of grief support groups, camps, and individual counseling.
Recognizing the onus of being the sole Grief Center in the region, our intent is to increase the community's awareness of our services through education and training of the needs of grieving children and families. We also serve as a resource center for information and a referral of grief-related services in the metropolitan area for all Louisiana residents.
Per our strategic goals, we have worked toward reaching further into the community and raising our visibility, which has moved us to the next phase of our organizational development, growth, and expansion. Subsequently, we have acquired a larger house to accommodate the growing needs of the community.
Our Executive Director
Mindy Keller, Executive Director, has been with Seasons since its inception in 1998. Besides operations of Seasons Grief Center, she plans all of the fundraising events for the organization. Mindy will also set up your appointments with a LPC for individual counseling.
